Neon Chevrolet Volt: Using Cars to Paint a Car

It sounds like a gimmick, especially since this painting was commission by Chevrolet UK for a Chevy Volt ad campaign, but this is the real deal.

Painting by Ian Cook for Chevrolet UK

It’s more than just a gimmick.  Using remote control cars, toy tires, and real full-size tires as brushes to create really cool paintings of cars is normal for artist Ian Cook. This project was a little harder though, since using the ultraviolet paint required painting in the dark.

Watch this film by Ryan Nicol from BME AV to see Ian creating this masterpiece:

Ian Cook calls his process autodrawing and you can see more of his work on the PopBangColour website.
