The Mechatars Battling Robots are cool remote controlled creatures that evolve both in and out of the virtual world.  You can battle your friends in the physical realm, or you can go online with your bot and take on strange middle aged men who live in California.  When you fight a friend, either online or in the real world, your robot gains experience points and becomes more skilled.  Speed, damage, defense, and other traits are taken into account.

There are also attachable weapons available for purchase, which will also show up online when you connect your Mechatars Battling Robot via the included cable.  The RC bots work with both Mac and PC computers.

 

 

The Mechatars Battling Robots are available from Toys R Us for only $40, but will cost you around $60 online.  These cool RC bots are produced by iloveRobots, and will surely be a big hit among kids this Christmas season.  They are similar to the new Spyro’s Skylanders figures, but may perform better in the marketplace due to the fact that they have a real world function and don’t need to be purchased with an expensive Wii game.
