Hexbug Larva Comes Slithering Onto The Scene

The Hexbug Larva is the newest, most disturbing member of the Hexbug family.  If you weren’t content with robotic ants, robotic caterpillars, robotic spiders, and robotic crabs, surely a robotic maggot will satisfy your sick and insatiable tastes.  What makes the Hexbug Larva unique is its lack of legs – it inches its way rather quickly across a surface using only core muscle contractions.  Also, it doesn’t need to hit something in order to turn around and change direction.  The Hexbug Larva has been equipped with a top notch IR sensor, which will tell it where objects are, and the Larva will avoid said objects.  These geeky robotic toys are $11 each, and are available in black, blue, orange, red, and green.

The Hexbug Larva would make a great gift for any kid or geeky adult – it’s fun to watch, and even more fun to control using your hands as makeshift walls.  Though I would rather let the Larva fall off of the table and use my hands as a makeshift air guitar!  *Rocks out to the invisible beat*
