The new Cookie Monster Count ‘n Crunch is Hasbro’s sequel toy to their wildly successful Tickle Me Elmo.  Everyone owned a Tickle Me Elmo at one point, but eventually beat that laughing maniac to death or threw it agains the wall one too many times.  The new blue version?  It looks promising.  Every kid loves the Cookie Monster, and why wouldn’t they?  He’s a blue, cuddly simpleton who loves to shove cookies into his mouth!

The Count ‘N Crunch Cookie Monster is only $29.99, and counts all of the cookies as you throw them into his mouth.  (Yes, the cookies actually go inside the Cookie Monster, he doesn’t just gum them like so many other disappointing Cookie Monster toys.)

 

 

 

The Count ‘N Crunch Cookie Monster comes with all four of its required AA batteries, and carries a small red backpack.  (Why?  Because Sesame Street can do whatever they want – kind of like Jay-Z and Kanye West, except less explicit.  Most of the time.)

Cookie Monster will smell cookies when they’re close, and open his mouth so you can shove them down his throat.  Plus, kids can touch his left foot to make him laugh like the hooligan he was born to be.  (Parents – the laugh is much less annoying that Elmo’s, so you won’t have to rip out your hair and feed it to the piranhas you put in the koi pond.)
