Geeky Star Wars Lightsaber Candlestick

The Star Wars Lightsaber Candlestick by ThinkGeek is an up and coming product with a seemingly unreasonable price tag.  The item will be available for purchase on the company’s website some time in December, a perfect time for you and (all of) your honies to have a romantic date, and will cost $39.99!  $40 for a candle?  Well, since it’s a piece of geeky Star Wars design… I’m sure we could get ThinkGeek to give us some sort of payment plan or something.

The picture of the Star Wars Candle that we have is depicting a member of the Dark Side, but ThinkGeek will probably produce a variety of colors for distribution.  Note:  This is a terrible idea for anyone who has mini offspring geeks.  They will play with the lightsaber candle, and they will burn your house down.  More importantly, they’ll break your Star Wars candle.  Me?  I’m learning how to eat fire, but it’s not going very well – how am I supposed to get it on my spork?  *Throws down spork in anguish*

The hilt of the lightsaber candlestick is made from a chrome plated zinc alloy that got mixed with a little bit of Jabba goo.  No shirt, no pants, no service, Jabba.  (Also, people who leave trails of slime when they move.)  Somebody’s got to clean it up, and it’s not going to be me.

I love Star Wars, but this is probably the worst thought out collectible I’ve seen. Love the AT-AT pancakes though.
