Thankfully TabCo Grid 10 Tablet is Not JooJoo 2
TabCo has teased the audience long enough. With their months of speculations about their new tablet, it has garnered much publicity. TabCo is lapping up all the attention it’s getting, saying on their site that this will be the best tablet since iPad. They’re saying that it may not be an iPad killer, but it surely is a device that is bringing something new to the millions of tablets out there. Fusion Garage had failed to impress the users with its earlier JooJoo tablet. It had plans to unveil a sequel in early 2011, but they failed to come up with that. They have now sent a tablet design to FCC, by the name of TabCo Grid 10. But what is it? Read on.
What’s TabCo Grid 10 All About?
The name has now been changed to JooJoo 2 to Grid 10. JooJoo, the prequel to this one by Fusion Garage, didn’t do too well. So, they have decided to make a fresh start this time around, with a new name. A 10.1 inch tab, that works on Grid OS. Grid OS is a completely new innovation based on Google’s Android. Actually, “based on” would be the wrong terminology, it is actually built over Android. It is safe and upgradable. All Android apps work on Grid OS. The company has claimed that it has reinvented touch computing from the bottom up. The UI is unlike anything seen earlier. It makes the tab button free and is completely gesture based. The widescreen experience becomes amazing with a 1366 x 768 resolution and an aspect ratio of 16:9. If you are wondering how it scores in the “looks” department, don’t worry, it’s sweet to look at, with class and grace all its own.
NVIDIA’s 1 GHz Tegra 2 Dual core processor ensures that your tablet never burps in the middle of your work and it flows seamlessly. It gives you a theater experience every time you play a video. You can never get bored with Wi-Fi and 3G connectivity to connect with friends and family. It also has HDMi and USB ports. A 16GB of storage space lets you store your favorite movies and videos. For an urgent office conference in the middle of your holiday, a 1.3 MP front camera is provided. Ambient light sensor adjusts your tab according to the brightness of the surroundings. Whenever you feel bored, you can always plug in the radio and hear something refreshing.
In addition, you can never be lost as long as you know where your GPS app is located on the TabCo Grid 10. The USP is that you can carry on your work from where you left off in any earlier device you were working on like your desktop. The Heartbeat app in the device, is not for measuring your heartbeat. It enables you to connect with the world’s beat, as the company says. It gives you updates of every appointment, messaging and other notifications.
TabCo Grid 10 Price
The 16 GB Wi-Fi model costs $ 499, while the 3G integrated one costs $ 599.
Verdict on Fusion Garage’s Grid 10 Tablet
This is a one of a kind tablet. The company was not wrong in saying that this will bring something new to the multitude of tablets flying around. This one is worth every penny.
