Glo Night Light With Glowing Balls of Pure Geek
The Glo Night Light is an innovative design by ThinkGeek that redefines night lights. Instead of having a single source of light, the Glo Night Light takes a different approach with the concept of three separate glowing balls. The three pronged base charges three separate balls that can be placed in different positions around the room, or left in the charger. The glow balls will stay bright for 30 minutes, and can be multiple colors set to a cycle, or remaining on a fixed color. Don’t make the balls red, though, because that’s their favorite color. ”Whose favorite color?” The commies! Monsters may not be real, but the communists are, and they will find you.
The Glo Night Light is $80, and is a great way to keep kids from flipping out when the lights are flipped off. Of course, it is always fun to make some conveniently shaped shadows come out of the closet… ”Why are you wearing a gorilla suit?” C’mon, we’ve got some kids to scare. NIGHT LIGHTS DON’T PROTECT YOU FROM GORILLAS.
The Glo Night Light looks a bit like alien plant life. Its three stems each hold a glowing ball. The base charges the balls up so at night, you can remove them and place them anywhere a little light is needed to scare the monsters away. One by the closet. One under the bed. And one in your geekling’s hands, ready to roll toward any suspicious looking shadows. Because there are no electronics in the Glo balls, they don’t get warm and they won’t break. The glow fades in about 30 minutes, which is just enough time to soothe your wee geek to sleep.
Soothing wee geeks to sleep is not my motivation for buying the Glo Nightlight, but looking awesome while juggling in the dark? That, I am looking for. Watch my skills - *throws balls up into air and drops two of them* That, and the subsequent 294 trials, were all practice. Six hours and four busted lamps later, I got one in a row. *Shakes fat belly in triumph*
