Eraser Pencil Takes Away The Fun of Mini Pencils and Severed Fingers

Whenever you use a non-mechanical pencil that isn’t the eraser pencil concept, you need to occasionally sharpen it.  (Bear with me on this one.)  Every time you sharpen the pencil, it gets smaller.  Eventually, you end up with a tiny stub.  Once you have this tiny stub, drop it and sprint in the other direction.  The only things that come from trying to sharpen stubby pencils are mutilated fingers and broken pencil sharpeners.  This is (not really) the reason that Deuk Young Lee came up with the eraser pencil concept.  The real reason he did it is because he runs around hugging trees but doesn’t care about those shrubberies that produce rubber.  Actually, maybe rubber is a root plant… “Actually, rubber is a polymer that” – DID I GIVE YOU PERMISSION TO SPEAK?

This cool design will help save trees if it’s ever put into commercial practice, since it eliminates the use of wood in the pencil.  Usually I have an issue with concept designs, whether it be practicality or aesthetics, but I can’t say anything degrading about the eraser pencil concept.  The white shown above will get dirty, but it’s easy to make different colors of rubber, so nobody can complain about visual appearance.  As for function… it’s a pencil.  You can’t mess up the workability of a pencil.  Then again, I didn’t think that the old lady was the Devil in that movie about people trapped in an elevator.  Have you ever noticed that the entire audience groans audibly whenever a preview says that an upcoming movie is being directed by M. Night Shyamalan?  Also, when I run out of Sno-Caps.  Why does the rest of the audience care that I’m out of candy?  BECAUSE THEN I STEAL THEIRS AT GUNPOINT FISTPOINT.  Nah, actually I just get hit in the face and dumped in a trash can.  But there’s usually some good leftovers in the blue dumpster out back, so it’s all good.

Via:  Technabob, who was nice enough to leave the dumpster roof open after he shoved me inside of it.
