Postmodern Bird Cafe Feeder Follows The Fish Condo

After the gripping success (and I do use that phrase loosely) of Teddy Luong’s fancy “Fish Condo,” it was clear he wanted to branch out into an entirely new audience.  So, what’s the obvious next group of animals he’d appeal to after fish? Why birds of course. That’s why he created the postmodern Bird Café Feeder.

While the fish hotel was a revolution in fish housing in that it was made to look like a present day condominium, the bird feeder simply looks like the fish hotel with the bottom cut out. It also definitely doesn’t look like a café of any sorts. Perhaps some chairs, Wi-Fi and demented aspiring writers surrounding the place would make it more like a café.

Behold – Postmodern Bird Feeder

Where the Bird Café does succeed is its general practicality. If you know anything about bird feeders, you know it’s important to be able to see how much food is left inside the feeder and have a perch just big enough for small songbirds. That keeps other larger birds from robbing the café.

Another good aspect of this boxy bird feeder is the fact that the top comes off so you can load it with seed easier and there are drainage holes in the trays so it doesn’t get flooded.

Lastly, just like the promo picture for the FishCondo that used fake fish, the birds in this image look clearly Photoshopped. They should have at least made these two Black-Capped Chickadees holding lattes as they ate their organic food at the café.
