3D Twister Remote Control Car by Silverlit Hands On Review

First of all, I need to tell you that this is a sponsored post.  As in, they sent me the 3D Twister and let me play with it and keep it.  Fortunately for you, it takes a lot more than a remote control car to buy my opinions.  Give me somewhere around $7,000 and I’ll tell it on the mountains.  ”Tell what on the mountains?”  I DON’T CARE – ANYTHING YOU WANT ME TO.  Main points we covered: sponsored post, will tell things on top of mountains for $7,000, will hunt down fugitives for $9,000, Cheetos Puffs are (for lack of a better descriptor) the stuff.  Also, the 3D Twister remote control car by Silverlit.

3D Twister Remote Control Car Review

What I received in the mail: One 3D Twister RC car, one 3D Twister remote control, two spare “supa-fast” tires, a cardboard ramp, some adhesive tape, instructions, excessive plastic packaging, and a pair of fake severed hands.  (Please note that the fake hands were not part of the 3D Twister package.  I just happened to also get those on my front step.)

The 3D Twister charged extremely quickly, somewhere under 8 or 9 minutes, and ran for a solid amount of time without needing a recharge.  No, I didn’t time it – I was having too much fun throwing milk jars at mailboxes playing with my new RC toy.  On the controller, there’s a switch labeled “Flipping Sys On/Off”  that unlocks an incredibly amazing feature.  You see, the 3D Twister is a 2.4 GHz car that provides real-time crash feedback, which I’ll discuss later, and can drive on both sides of its chassis.  My particular device was half blue and half red, but there are other colors available for purchase.

Awesome Cardboard Ramp

Please ignore my mediocre job of taping down the backflip ramp.  Okay, who am I kidding – I DID AN AMAZING TAPE JOB.  BASK IN MY LIGHT, UNDERLINGS.

By using the included ramp, or just by driving like a complete idiot, you can flip the car onto its reverse side.  If the “Flipping Sys” switch is in the off position, you’ll need to put the car in reverse to go forward.  In other words, the controller doesn’t know that the car isn’t still right side up.  If the switch is in the on position, the car will be able to sense which side it is resting on and flip the controls accordingly.  This is my preferred preference, but you can do whatever you want – I could care less.  As long as nobody touches my birthday cake batter ice cream, we don’t have a beef.

If the 3D Twister wasn’t fast, could it do that?  Also, “If I was fat, could I do this with a hula-hoop?

The 3D Twister RC car can fly at speeds of up to 21 feet per second.  Since many of you have no idea how fast that is, let’s just say that it’s really really fast for a car its size.  One of the coolest features, though, of this Silverlit remote control toy is the 2.4 GHz enabled real-time crash feedback.  Whenever you hit a wall with either your front or back end, the controller will vibrate with intensity correspondent to how hard you just crashed and burned.

This RC toy is great for stunts, driving around for fun, and scaring the living daylights out of household pets as well as those annoying earwigs.  The only difference is, you kill the earwigs.  Also, you don’t scratch them behind the ear.  ”I do!”  You’re a sick little man, aren’t you?

The 3D Twister by Silverlit is available in a basic set for $49.99, or a deluxe set for $59.99.  As of right now, you can only purchase this awesome toy at Silverlit’s website, but it will be coming to Radio Shack, Toys R Us, and Amazon in the early fall.  I would definitely recommend this toy for anyone looking to get a gift for a little fleshbag little brother, cousin, nephew, father, even grandpas will like it.
