Tower Defense: Lost Earth iPhone App Video Review
Hey all, I’ve been hearing that since Com2us has tried to copyright the term “Tower Defense,” they are nasty little hobbits. I am going to give them the benefit of the doubt and do the review on their app, Tower Defense: Lost Earth. If there is serious truth to this rumor, leave a comment and I will help you guys rip on the company. But, for now, we will take a look at this tower defense iPhone app. It’s $.99, and is available for the iPad, but Com2us says that the price will go up after the 4th of July weekend, so get it while you can. The video has menu overviews and gameplay – enjoy!
Tower Defense: Lost Earth iPhone App Review
Hello, people searching app reviews! This app review is on the iPhone application, Tower Defense: Lost Earth. (It’s available for the iPad, but this review is of the iPhone version. On the main menu, we see tabs for resume, start, options, and info. Tap on info to learn more about the story and learn more about the game – this is helpful for first time players. Options lets you toggle music on and off, toggle sound effects on and off, and share the application on Facebook and Twitter. Resume and start should be self explanatory for anyone who has ever had an iPhone app of any kind.
There are two modes in Tower Defense: Lost Earth – Campaign and Challenge. Campaign is similar to a story mode, while in Challenge mode you just kill stuff and build stuff. We’re going to take a look at Campaign mode in this review. Before you start a new level in this mode of gameplay, you are allowed to choose the towers that will be available to you during that mission. Some of these towers are required to be used in certain missions, and some missions restrict the use of certain towers to increase the level’s difficulty. On the bottom left of the screen, you can see when new waves of troops are approaching, and on the top of the screen you can see your resources, score, and other statistics.
To build a tower in Tower Defense: Lost Earth, just tap on an empty square and select the tower you wish to build. From here, you can upgrade or sell towers as you please. Com2us should have added a tilt feature, because I find myself tilting the iPhone to move the map, even though you can only move it by touch. This application is a fun tower defense game that has unique graphics and addictive gameplay.

There’s nothing about an upcoming Android version as of right now, but I’ve e-mailed the company and perhaps they’ll give me an answer.
