Pixel Sunglasses are the latest and greatest thing in extremely overpriced fashion design. These pieces of plastic, which I would wear in a heartbeat, are worth about a tenth of their price. Some famous guy has decided that since he’s the greatest thing since canned bread he can charge $285 for pieces of plastic. I’ve got news for you – America is in a recession! The whole world is probably in a recession! (I wouldn’t know – I live in America.) People can’t afford to be paying $300 for a pair of cool sunglasses!
As you can see above, these retro pixel sunglasses come in two different variations. (The first one is cooler, no doubt.) Just so you guys know – this retro fashion item is not restricted to the “sunglasses” classification – you can get regular prescription type eyewear too.
Maybe the reason why blogs around the geek world are calling these pixel sunglasses ugly is that their model doesn’t exactly represent what I would call the “retro-interested” group. I’ve met with people, I’ve been to conventions, I’ve never seen a geek that looks like this girl – *whistle*. She’s probably not actually interested in geeky stuff though – money can make anything look appealing. *Picks up huge stack of one’s* Maybe if I tape these bills to my car, it’ll look cooler! Or maybe my hubcaps and my chassis will get stolen.
