Hello everyone!  I am happy to announce that Steve Jobs is not infallible.  In other news, there’s a giant stegosaurus eating my breakfast.  Om-nom-nom-nom.  I just had a run in with the iPhone 4 Black Screen glitch.  The Black Screen bug turns your screen entirely black, save the coverage and battery metrics, and completely locks you out of your phone.  Can’t turn it off, can’t turn it on, can’t play your tunes, can’t look up chloroform.  I had to make at least one Casey Anthony allusion – IT’S ON EVERY NEWS CHANNEL!  Finally, something that the democrats and republicans agree on!

 

As you can see, my iPhone is completely blank except for the clock, notification that AT&T is worthless, and my battery indicator.  (I never have good service anywhere with AT&T – you can see the proof above.)  So… how did I fix it?  I didn’t.  I chucked my iPhone in the trash, marched into an Apple store and gave them a piece of my mind.  *Reaches into a gaping head wound*  Here you go, mister Apple rep!  A piece of my mind.  Should I autograph it?

If you are experiencing the Black Screen iPhone bug, don’t worry!  It’s very easy to fix.  Just hold the lock and home buttons simultaneously for ten seconds.  This will reset your phone and (probably) remedy the Black Screen bug.  (Don’t worry, you won’t lose all of your stuff – it’s not a memory wipe kind of thing.)  Leave a comment if you’re experiencing this glitch or any other iPhone related problem, and I’ll help you fix it.
