The Nook Color is an $249 e-reader that allows you to download over 5,000 books with its 8 GB internal storage, and an extra 20,000 books with an optional 32 GB microSD card.  (If you read more than 25,000 books in your lifetime, apply for a Guinness World Record or something.  Nerd.)  In addition to having a full touch screen, Nook colors have Wi-fi capability, not 3G like the Kindle, so you’ll need to download your books before you go on vacation.  (Or stay at a hotel with Wi-fi.  That’s what I do – how else would I make myself feel good and get you guys to subscribe and listen to me rant?)

What is the Nook Color’s signature feature that makes it stand out among e-readers like the Kindle?  This device has a back light and is in full color – 16 million colors, to be exact.  Also, Nook Colors support video, flash, and a more advanced web browser.  (Remember, the Nook Color runs on Android.)  The Kindle’s browser is crude at best, the device has no backlight, nothing is in color, and no video is supported.
