Zelda Is Super Hot: Custom Legend of Zelda Chess Set
The Legend of Zelda rivals Super Mario Brothers when it comes to classic Nintendo titles. This Legend of Zelda chess set, homemade by Ben Howards, uses characters from all eras of Zelda to create a massive battle of the wits! This is probably the only way you would get me to take a game of chess seriously. (Who am I kidding? I would just use them as action figures – forget chess. Maybe we could light Ganondorf on fire and save Hyrule before Link even has to go through so much trouble.)
Also, beat Ganondorf in an intense game of wits and you might just get to make out with Zelda. Just sayin’. Being geeky does have its perks get me stuffed into lockers.
My favorite pieces on this chess board, honestly, are the Chuchus. (The pawns.) They look like worms who were squeezed so that their eyes popped out a little and then dipped in colorful paint to make them Nintendo friendly. Just a thought.
In case you’re not Zelda savvy, here’s a list of all of the characters included in this chess set -
