iPad 2 – White Is An Option, And So Is Face-Time!
There’s Only 778 Million Results On Google For “iPad 2″ – It Could Be Worse. (Sarcasm Implied.)
Guys, let’s be honest. I’m going to be somewhere in the 1,000,000′s for Google’s results, but there’s no way that I can not post on the iPad 2, just because it is the iPad 2. Despite the fact that there have been some changes, I feel that Apple could have waited and developed some new ideas and created some new features. Instead of taking this approach, I feel that the company took some of the iPhone 4 and pasted it onto the iPad. (Look at the volume buttons – that is textbook iPhone 4.) Despite my minor childish complaints, the iPad 2 is pretty awesome. Let’s look at what’s new.
Lighter And Whiter! (I Can Make Rhymes With Words!)
The iPad 2 is thinner and lighter than its predecessor – Apple says it’s 15% lighter. Also, this tablet has a faster processor, which is a plus. (I thought the original iPad was fast, so I’m sure I’ll be just as impressed with the iPad 2′s processing speed.) Of course, this cool gadget is now available in white! Finally, a design for people who are sick of the same looking products over and over! (Black and silver were getting on my nerves.) There’s also HDMi capability and some new apps, including Garageband! Now you can make music from loops on your iPad! Yay! Still comes in the 16GB, 32 GB, 64 GB sets. Available in the U.S.A. March 26 and in other places cooler than the U.S.A. that always get gadgets before us on March 25.
By the way, Autism Plugged In is a great blog that explains how the iPad2 can be used to enhance the autistic child’s learning environment. Visit this site to read app reviews before you buy autism iPad apps for your child with special needs.
