ECO Sound V268 Wireless Bluetooth Headset: Product Review
Placating The Government And The Judicial Body Is Fun!
Just recently, my friends at Wireless Ground gave me the opportunity to review a V268 ECO Sound Engineering Bluetooth Headset. In other words, they sent me one of these devices so that I could try it out myself and write a review that reflects my honest opinion of the product, which I believe I have done. (Now that the FTC isn’t going to go gung-ho on my front door, let’s get to the gadget. I’m serious – those FTC guys don’t play around. And they look pretty awesome – all-black suits with futuristic sunglasses. And maybe even Tasers.)
Size, Comfort, And Buttons
One of my favorite things about the V268 ECO Sound Bluetooth Device is it’s size. The V268 is smaller in length than my thumb, and I have fairly small thumbs, and weighs a mere 6 grams!

Also, this gadget comes with an optional earhook, but I found that this add-on was superfluous. The earpiece stays in very well just by itself and would not come out unless you were in one of the most intense head-bobbing sessions known to mankind or you fell down the stairs.
Another plus is that the volume buttons were very easy to find and push when talking on the device. This will eliminate those embarrassing, “What? Sorry, I didn’t hear you because I can’t press this tiny volume button on this snazzy earpiece I have on” type conversations. The main button, the one that answers and declines calls, is also easy to find without looking.
Paragraph For Artsy-Fartsy People (a.k.a., Design)
The V268 Wireless headset has a sleek design that had me looking at myself in the mirror. The glossy black is attractive, yet subtle — manly, but yet not beyond the point of being sensitive. (That was for the creative types.) Basically, I have no complaints about the way this gadget looks.

The blue LEDs make you look futuristic while you’re wearing it. They flash every two seconds or so to let you know that the device is in standby mode, and the light will even start flashing red to let you know that the battery is dying.
Ease Of Use
The included directions were easy to follow and the device itself simple to use. (Just in case you get this gadget, hold the middle button for a little more than six seconds when you are syncing it to your phone. It flashes blue and then will turn to a solid blue. Wait until that second blue LED, or your phone won’t find the device. That was the only kink that I found in the directions.)
The Instruction Manual also explains all of the device’s capabilities and tells you how to answer calls, hang up on someone, do voice control commands, and things of that nature.
Sound Quality And Echo Cancellation
The V268′s sound quality is adequate – nothing that people will find annoying or difficult to hear through. With that in mind, this device (regularly $29.95) is on sale for only $9.95 at Wireless Ground! So, for what you’re paying, you’re getting a pretty good value. Also, the V268 has Echo Cancellation technology, which I have found to work well in many situations. For example, in a loud room, the person on the other line can hear you clearly and oftentimes does not even hear the things going on around you!
Verdict And Miscellaneous Information
So, overall, the V268 ECO Sound Wireless Bluetooth Headset is a great buy. The headset is only $9.95, it is small, easy to wear, and easy to use. Also, the directions for set-up are fairly simple and the charger seems to be sound. Finally, the sound quality of the V268 is exceptional for the price that you pay, and this gadget even has cool features like Echo Cancellation. With 4.5 hours of talk time and 100 hours of standby time, this wireless earpiece is definitely a good value. Wireless Ground is the one who has it on sale for $9.95, so I’d advise saving $20 and getting it from them.
