Toy Story RC Car: Is Autonomous Just An Excuse For Living Toys?

The Toy Story Remote Control Car!  Not Yet.

I know you’re all dying to hear about the Toy Story Remote Control Car.  But hold your horses, because I need to do a “new year” section.  Bear with me.  Here goes nothing.  Happy New Year!  It’s finally 2011, and you can expect some great things from Cool Gizmo Toys in the coming year.  In fact, www.coolgizmotoys.com, In December alone, went up 2,298,226 rankings on Alexa and is now ranked around 3 million.  3 million still isn’t wonderful, but at this rate, I think the site is doing fairly well.

UPDATE:  September 2011 – We’re ranked 200,000 globally – Thanks everyone!

So I wanted to thank all of my readers for making this possible, and I’m going to get to the gadget now because I bet most of you don’t really care about my site’s progression.  Moving on.

An Exhausting Paranthetical

The Toy Story Remote Control Car is awesome!  Not only is it a great RC car, but it has the ability to follow your voice and even roam autonomously!  (It’s just like in the movie.  Watch them crazy toys… what if they’re all autonomous?  I think that’s what we say when one of our toys moves on its own.  ”Aaaah!  That toy’s walking around!”  We say, “Don’t worry!  It’s autonomous!”)  Phew!  That was a long paranthetical.

rotten wood That Used To Be A Chair Leg?  Ooh…

The Toy Story Remote Control Car, (does he have a name or does nobody remember it from the movie?), bounces up and down when in autonomous mode.  This makes the RC toy look more realistic.  As in, more like the RC car from the Toy Story movie.

Obstacle Sensors

Also, this awesome gadget has “obstacle sensors” so that it doesn’t run face first into a chair leg.  This toy goes pretty fast, so that wouldn’t end well for your toy or the chair leg.  And I haven’t found a site that specified what those “obstacle sensors” actually are, by the way.

Independent Left / Right Controls

The Toy Story Remote Control Car‘s eyes move around and it has independent Left/Right controls.  This basically means that you can make him spin in circles if you really want to.  To get the Toy Story RC to follow you, you just need to keep talking to it.  ”Or making noise.  It can’t tell the difference.  At least, we think it can’t.)
