RC Cyborg Shark – You Decide

I have to say, I’m finding it difficult to make a “yay” or “nay” verdict on the RC Cyborg Shark.  This cool toy has a really great design, but some of the Amazon reviews are a little… lets just say… iffy.  So, take the time to read the reviews and then make your own decision.  If this toy doesn’t float your boat, haha it’s funny because it’s a pool toy, you could always get yourself a Subbies pool toy for less than ten bucks.

Well.  Those “iffy” reviews really put the kaibash on the fun.  Kaputski.  Babushka.  (I still have no idea what a Babushka is, but it’s fun to say!  Babushka.  Babushka.)

What Kind Of Color Is Called “Generic Shark?”

In case you feel like you have to have the RC Cyborg Shark for no other reason than that it’s a cool idea, you need a little more info, so here it is.  The RC Cyborg Shark comes in two colors – generic shark + red and blue.  (Generic shark?  How did I come up with that bland color…)  It’s a two channel device so if  you buy two of these, you can use them both at the same time.  The actual remote is waterproof, as is the shark, if you haven’t figured that out yet.  You can either use a 6V Rechargeable Battery or kill the earth and use 4 AAs.  (I advise you to immediately hug a tree after each use if you choose to use AA’s.)

Look, the bottom line is that this toy looks cool, but some people complained of immediate breakage.  ”We only played it for 2 or 3 times this past summer and it stopped working.”  Another example from Amazon, “The first day he had it in the swimming pool it died..”  And, just look at that kid in the picture.  I know that’s a totally staged smile because it’s extremely difficult to smile underwater without choking on pool lwater.  Go on, try it!  But remember, Cool Gizmo Toys is not held responsible for any of you “geniuses” who try to smile underwater and end up seriously injuring themselves.
