Who Needs Buttons?

Buttons are so yesterday.  That’s why Mattel has created Loopz: The Musical Memory Game!  There are four openings in total, two on the top and two on the bottom.  These openings are motion sensitive and can detect your hand going through them.  Loopz has seven game modes, most fun, all with cheesy names.  Repeat The Beat, Reflex Master, Rhythm & Flow, Musicology, Freestyle DJ, Music Studio, and Versus are the available game modes.

Musical Memory Game Modes

Repeat The Beat is a game mode where one of the lighted openings lights up and you need to wave your hand through that opening.  Then, Loopz will keep adding one to the pattern as you copy what it does..  You get three mistakes before the game ends.  Reflex Master gives the player a certain amount of time to wave their hand through the opening before the game ends.  As the player progresses, you get less and less time to complete the opening and double prompts become involved.  (Double Prompts force you to wave two openings at the same time.)  Rhythm and Flow allows Loopz: The Musical Memory Game to play a song.  You have to activate the correct loops at the correct time to keep the song going.  Six mistakes, and you lose.

Brief Summary

I’m done summarizing the game modes, because, as you can see, most of them are relatively similar.  Put your hand through the loop and you win.  Don’t, and you lose.  End of story.  Amazon sells this awesome toy for $30, and it is pretty awesome.  Overall, a fun electronic toy.
