Desk Pets are a series of robots that recharge through USB and are controlled by a small remote with five buttons.  Forward, Backward, Left, Right, and Stop.  All of these devices come in four different colors and use four-channel remotes.

(In order From Left To Right : Go Bot, Trek Bot, SkitterBot, and Solar Rock)  I’m not blogging on the Solar Rock.

1. The Go Bot

The Go Bot not only jumps at your command, but you can even control in what direction this robot jumps!  This device has a tiny rotor on the bottom of it that propels it into the air and gives the “jumping” impression.  The price is $24.99.

What I really would like to try with this guy is putting it on the rail of the second story and see if it can jump and then jump again in the air and land safely.  (I’ll tell you what happens so that if I break the 20 dollar thing, you won’t make the same mistake.)

2. The Skitterbot

The Skitterbot does exactly what its name implies – skitters!  Watch it crawl around your desk or buy another one and butt heads with your friends!  The Skitterbot is the fastest bot in the series, traveling at one foot per second – FAST!  At only $24.99, this is a pretty cool robot.  Comes in four colors, has pulsing eyes, and is the most commonly found toy out of the three.

3. The Trek Bot

The Trek Bot is, in my opinion, the coolest looking Desk Pet.  It reminds me of that epic Star Wars machine on Kashyyk that blows up everything in its path!  The Trek Bot rolls, does headstands, and can flip over completely!  Really awesome.  This robot is controlled by a 5-button USB remote controller, which also serves as its charger (see photo above).  According to Desk Pet’s Official website, a 30min recharge = 15min of play.  Not bad.  Only $27.99.
