Sega-Hasbro’s Ampbot – Musical Robot

Ampbot by Sega-Hasbro
Finally, a music player that rolls around! No.. that’s not right… how about a robot that plays music? No, been done before (Sony Rolly) . . . Oh! I have it! Finally, a two and a half foot tall rolling robot that follows you and plays music! And it’s five hundred dollars! What?!
Pricing
Only five hundred dollars? That’s it? And no, I’m not being sarcastic. When it comes to a nearly autonomous robot that also plays music, this is a pretty good deal. This gem also has a mode that makes it dance! Just plug your iPod into its back cradle and blast your tunes, yo! This 2.4′ tall rolling robot includes a 5″ speaker in its chest and two smaller speakers (one in each shoulder area).
Batteries Required
The only bad thing about this robot is that it runs on D cells. Wow. That’s probably part of the reason it is only five hundred dollars. The good thing is that the Hasbro Ampbot can play music continuously, on really really high volume, for ten hours! That’s pretty impressive! Except it’s not because the stupid thing uses 3 AAA batteries and 6 Ds. Overall, though, still cool. Check out the video below to see the Ampbot in action.

Musical Robot looks so cool!
