Yes, you will need money to start your journey.  There are two very important reasons for this money requirement.  Reason #1 – Once you have learned sleight of hand tricks using the sponge balls, it will be important for you to practice sleight of hand with coins because coins can be obtained from the audience. This interactive technique is used in many cool magic tricks.  Reason #2 – You will need money to buy gimmicks, including the sponge balls and the deck of cards.
