Correct me if I am wrong, but there is NO PLACE on the internet at which this concept phone by Nils Siegel is given a name.  There’s information on it, but no name, which I find strange.

Phone By Nils Siegel Has Customizable Face

Anyway, this phone is less about technology and more about the ingenious idea of a customizable face.  Actually, Nils Siegel didn’t consider the cell phone aspect of this design at all!  He decided to only focus on the aesthetics, which I think is a good decision.  I agree with this choice because I feel it’s best to leave the tech stuff to people who know what they’re doing.  Like people who manufacture smart phones and such.

Multi-Colored Pieces

The Customizable Clamshell Phone By Nils Siegel is a clamshell phone with tiny empty squares on the front.  Keep in mind that this phone is not available for sale – it’s just a concept. Anyway, the phone comes with a bunch of multicolored pieces which can be inserted into the squares.  This allows the user to make patterns and pretty, pretty pictures.  Ahem.  I mean… aesthetically appealing images.

Extend This Concept To Other Phones

This is a pretty cool concept, but because I think that more people will buy smartphones before they buy clamshell cell phones, it should be altered to conform to the times.  They should take the same basic idea and apply it to the back of a full touch screen phone.  In my opinion, this would increase the value of  the original idea.  Overall, a pretty good idea.  Not that I would buy it, of course.  I prefer manly phones.
