LG Venus VX8800
The LG Venus VX8800, which works for Verizon Wireless, is a slide phone with a full touch screen. It’s got a 2mp camera, which is acceptable, and 4 hours of battery life, which is not. Most aspects of this phone are wonderful, but there are a few issues with this device. Still, the LG Venus VX8800 is worth a look. A long, long look. Better have some eye drops.
Memory
The LG Venus VX8800 requires a memory card for satisfactory memory space, but it does come with 64 MB of internal storage, just for that week before you get the card.
LG Venus VX8800 Features
This phone has the capability to send and receive both pictures and videos, in addition to being able to surf the internet, check email, and text. I can’t believe I actually put “you can text” as one of the features. In this day and age, that’s a given. Unless your phone is an epic fail.
Battery Life
I have seen complaints about two aspects of this phone. The first unsatisfactory facet is the short battery life. The LG Venus VX8800 has four hours of talk time, while other similar phones rack up around seven hours before they die. Don’t avoid the LG Venus just because of this, just buy a car charger or something. This should quickly remedy the situation.
Software Glitches
The second complaint is a little more serious. Some people have been complaining of software glitches such as the phone freezing when receiving a “flix” message. There are updates that can be obtained off of your computer that are supposed to fix these glitches though so, again, don’t avoid the LG Venus VX8800 just because of a couple of glitches.
LG Venus VX8800 Pricing
The phone can be found for around $175 on the internet.
