Green Buy: LG eBook Laptop Concept
The LG eBook Laptop Concept is green. ”Green?” You say. ”Well that there laptop is definitely black and silver.” You insist. ”You must look beyond what’s on the outside to see the true color of a gadget, young jedi.
You Don’t Have To Be A Chemist To Understand How It Works
This here LG eBook laptop concept uses OLEDs and runs on Natural Gas and Methanol.” You nod your head and concede defeat. Now, many of you are asking, “What’s with the lame intro?” The answer to that is: it was impulsive. The second group of you, many of whom are hardcore Star Wars fans and can understand why the intro was awesome, are asking, “What is an OLED? And where are the Natural Gas, Methanol, and other eco-friendly liquids that power this machine located?” The rest of you are saying, “I already know everything. Blah blah blah. I’m a biochemist.” I am going to only pay attention to the second group because I get to put material on here at my discretion.
LG eBook Laptop has OLED’s
In answer to the first question, OLED stands for Organic Light Emitting Diode. The LG e-Book uses OLEDs instead of LCDS, which decreases the amount of electricity needed to run this laptop. Also, it does not require an external frame, thus saving other materials. This is what helps to make this an eco – friendly laptop. And everyone knows that if we aren’t eco – friendly, somehow our actions will cause repercussions that will make pandas extinct. You wouldn’t want to wipe out entire families of pandas, would you? Of course not. If you do want to wipe out entire families of pandas… get off my website. Go sit in the corner and think about your actions. Ridiculous.
Natural Gas and Methanol Power Source
In answer to the second question, the liquids are stored in an awesome looking futuristic tube that serves as a hinge for the laptop. It looks blue, and I don’t know if that is the color of all of the power sources combined or just a sweet effect added by the designers.
Award for the Best Design Concept
Finally, this laptop won the Red Dot Award for the best concept design. The reason that this laptop is not being sold commercially is that there are still some issues with the power source and it would be WAY. TOO. EXPENSIVE. I mean, we’re talking crazy numbers of stacks, yo. But when it does become available, it will be a great “green buy.”
