The Air Hogs Hawk Eye is an RC helicopter that can take video from the sky!  I had a previous post on this topic, but there was very little information released on this sweet RC at that time.

Air Hogs just recently updated their website – and the specs are available!  Yes!  I’ll give those here in a moment.  Also, I applaud Air Hogs on their speedy site update, letting us techies get the scoop.  No sarcasm.  I know sometimes it’s hard to know if I am being sarcastic because you’re reading this and I can’t use my awesome facial expressions or my exaggerating voice.  The Hawk Eye is in stores this August.

Air Hogs has created a contest for it’s pilots, giving them the chance to win a FREE Hawk Eye RC Helicopter!  All you have to do is make a video of YOU flying an Air Hogs vehicle and send it to them.  One random person plus the top three entrants win a free Hawk Eye!  (UPDATEW:  Contest is Now Closed.)  Now… I will unveil the specific specificated specifically special specifications.  Wow.  That was a mouthful.  That is, it would have been if I wasn’t just typing it.

Air Hogs Hawk Eye Specs

The Air Hogs Hawk Eye :  This baby has enough memory for five minutes of video.  When this space has been used up, just plug it into your computer using the included USB and transfer the video.  Just so you guys know, Air Hogs recently announced that they’re going to have a free editing software available on their website.  So, if you want to edit your video (maybe put some awesome gunshot sounds or a screaming elephant monkey hybrid), just go there.  

The Air Hogs Hawk Eye takes photos as well as video – the resolutions are 640 X 480 and 320 X 240, respectively.  

This thing is two channel, meaning you can have two flying at once without interference, and it charges from the controller, which serves as a dock.  An added bonus – the Hawk Eye charges when it’s plugged into your computer, too.
